My approach

I work on digital learning for specialist subjects, bringing together instructional design, editorial judgement and visual decision-making. My work draws on over twenty years across education, culture and the arts.

I’m often brought in when subject matter is hard to follow and needs a structure people can work through without getting lost.
Before moving fully into digital learning, I taught general and business English, which shaped my understanding of how language affects comprehension. Earlier in my career I worked as a graphic designer and signwriter, grounding me in layout, visual impact and the craft of making things by hand.
Alongside digital learning, I also work directly with writers and authors, shaping long-form material for flow, structure and readability.
I now specialise in bespoke digital learning, working closely with clients to shape draft material into finished work. I build primarily in Articulate Storyline and sometimes use AI as part of my thinking and drafting process, but my value lies less in the tools and more in making learning feel human and intelligible.
If you’re considering a new learning project, please send a brief note with the audience, topic and any constraints.
